The CABO intervention received a great deal of enthusiasm from residents and partners. The event was successfully conducted in the specific context of the Covid orange alert, respecting all health guidelines. We believe that this artistic grooming intervention on bins, blending art, environment, and civic engagement with humor, could soon take place in other boroughs of Montreal or in other cities in Quebec to further develop the unique relationship citizens have with their brown bins.

TESTIMONIALS
"When we know that 55% of buried waste is organic and compostable, we see that there is a great opportunity for improvement. It is to help us increase composting and the use of brown bins that we gave carte blanche to ATSA to design an original awareness campaign on Le Plateau."
- Luc Rabouin, Mayor of the Plateau-Mont-Royal Borough.
"We are very happy with this project and especially to have been able to carry it out in this very particular context. A big thank you to the entire ATSA team!"
- Andréanne Leclerc-Marceau, Plateau consultant, and Marianne Giguère, City Councillor, Plateau-Mont-Royal Borough, and Councillor associated with the executive committee - active transportation file
"Our household rituals and the weekly routine surrounding the brown bin are very unique. We have them stolen, we become possessive of 'our' bin. This sometimes unloved object is an extension of our homes, towards the sidewalk, towards our neighbors. And this, even during the recent lockdown. It's time to give them a little love and affirm their role!"
- Fred P Corson, artistic collaborator, and co-designer
"I was pleasantly surprised by the idea of painting on an organic bin. Already, I am very interested in waste valorization, agriculture, but also the mysterious life underground... In fact, I have been researching various organisms (bacteria, fungi, mites) that build soil structure for some time. It was a pleasure to continue my research on compost for the creation of my work. Very cool project, I would do it anytime! Thank you for the opportunity!"
- Ge L'Heureux, participating artist
"I wanted to thank you and the entire ATSA team and volunteers for your involvement and sympathy during the CABO brown bin artistic workshop. We had a lot of fun. It is very important to ensure the beautification of the city, in connection with environmental commitment. As an architect, I find your initiative truly meaningful. Bravo! Thank you, thank you very much!"
- Meridalba Munoz Bravo, family participating in the CABO artistic workshops
