Born in Montreal and holding a master’s in social work, this multidisciplinary artist’s work combines art, collection action and holistic health. Since completing her advanced studies (DESS) in art therapy, she has pursued the discovery of the sacred feminine through a feminist approach guided by the power of imagination. Having participated in a number of initiatives involving street art and community art, the artist shares a story of identity where people, idiosyncrasies and colours intersect.
Her artistic approach begins with daily writing down and drawing of her nocturnal dreams. The images they produce become symbols that inform and guide subsequent creation and transform into language for championing social and environmental causes. Through varied media (collage, painting, graphic design, dance, and more), Alexandra attempts to immerse the public in parallel universes at once abstract, magical, surrealist even, in order to foster an internal dialogue with our environments. With explosive images and a humanist, ecofeminist and anticapitalist vision, she aims to shed light on realities that are sensible and full of common sense.

Ariane holds a Bachelor’s of Fashion Design from UQAM and a diploma of college studies (DEC) in design and textile printing from the Cégep du Vieux Montréal, and divides her time and her passion between the visual arts and costume making. Deeply inspired by a traineeship at Opéra Garnier in Paris, her approach to art is informed by the knowledge she acquired about the dyeing processes, patina and ennobling of fabrics. Ariane has been a member since October 2020 of the Atelier Circulaire artists’ centre, where she is pursuing research on the printmaking arts.

As a small girl, playing with a Barbie? Yuck! Colouring? Yippee! Decades later, Martine’s creations look like they are straight out of a colouring book. And sometimes, even out of a comic book! Exhibiting in a gallery? Yeah, sure. But exhibiting on a fence outside: sheer ecstasy! Long live art... ephemeral art!

zoé boivin

Zoé moved to Montreal to pursue her artistic calling in 2010. After completing her studies in graphic arts and communications, she began a career in media, all the while developing her artistic eye, bringing her creative sensibilities to the fore. Inspired by the major artists of her generation that she mixed with thanks to her various work experiences, Zoé connected to her vision and began sharing her passion for the creation of images, to contribute in her own way some beauty to the world, one emotion at a time. The artist uses painting in a broad array of media, such as acrylic, pastel, watercolour and ink, as well as drawing to convey freedom and self-expression, with spontaneous and organic gestures. Each work is a gateway onto a world wherein emotions arise and develop as the piece unfolds.

julian palma

A multidisciplinary artist with many hats: muralist, illustrator, presenter. Over the past 15 years, he has been involved in numerous mural projects both as coordinator and creator, and he has done illustrations for various publishing houses in his native Colombia as well as Spain. Arriving in Montreal in 2011, Julian integrated into the city’s cultural scene by participating in various events (Fresh Paint Gallery, 2011, ARTV Studio and Montréal Créative). Since 2015, he has been collaborating with mural art organization MU as an artist, coordinator and artists’ assistant. His work finds inspiration in nature’s fluid forms and the interconnection of all elements. His native Colombia has been a strong influence in terms of its tropical nature and colour. Julian is particularly interested in creating images to be viewed more than once, and whose interpretation is always highly subjective. His work is characterized by a palette of bright, lively colours and organic imagery where flora and fauna meld to produce chimerical beings in a dynamic continuum of shapes and colours.
