Presented from April 1st to 9th, during the 2000 Symfolium, on Place Gérald Godin. ”Je suis le nombril du monde” is an intervention featuring strollers and punching bags, to be used by the public to let out their frustrations.
This installation denounces violence towards children, while allowing us to express our own. It underlines the importance of childhood, of dreams, while questioning the lack of long-term vision of certain social choices. 1000 buttons bearing the words ”Je suis le nombril du monde” were distributed and worn as a badge of support or of protest !
